The anticipation is palpable as the Society of Italian American Businessmen (SIAB) unveils the exciting news: the Galbani Maryland Italian Festival is back by popular demand, slated to grace the Harford County Equestrian Center in Bel Air from September 27th to 29th, 2024. And this time, they're bringing even more zest to the table with a new sponsor on board – Jarretsville Furniture.Last year's debut of this three-day extravaganza saw an impressive turnout of 25,000 attendees hailing from over 15 states, making it the state's largest Italian festival. Enthusiasts of all ages flocked to indulge in a feast for the senses, featuring an array of activities, entertainment, and, of course, delectable Italian cuisine.

With Galbani Cheese returning as the title sponsor and Jarretsville Furniture joining the ranks, the festival promises an even more exhilarating experience this year. Picture carnival rides, a bustling midway, and not one but two vibrant piazzas adorned with wine, beer, and liquor, all adding to the festive ambiance. But wait, there's more! This year, festival-goers can look forward to nearly double the number of food and beverage vendors, ensuring an even wider array of tantalizing treats to tempt their taste buds.

Additional offsite parking and bus transportation have been arranged for added convenience, while the introduction of more VIP villas promises a touch of luxury for those seeking an elevated experience. Joe Papa, SIAB president, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received from Harford County during the inaugural event and shared his excitement for what's to come. "We're preparing to come back bigger and better this year and look forward to showcasing our state's Italian American heritage to those who attend from near and far," he remarked. Adding to the excitement is the return of the annual Bocce Tournament, a highlight of the festival where participants can witness teams, including Special Olympians, compete for cash prizes.

This event, along with the festival proceeds, aligns with SIAB's mission to support charities focusing on education, family and child services, mental health, and addiction. Frank Avena, owner of Jarrettsville Furniture and a SIAB member, expressed pride in contributing to the festival's growth while furthering the organization's charitable endeavours. "I'm proud to contribute to the growth of the festival while also continuing SIAB's steadfast, charitable endeavours," he affirmed.

For those eager to join in the festivities, general admission tickets are priced at $10 for a one-day pass or $26.38 for a three-day pass. Private VIP villas, offering a lavish experience complete with personalized service, range from $300 to $600 per day or $1000 for a three-day package. And fear not, little ones – children aged 12 and under are admitted for free, ensuring a family-friendly affair not to be missed.

Mark your calendars and get ready to indulge in a celebration of food, culture, music, and more at the Galbani Maryland Italian Festival – an experience sure to delight the senses and create lasting memories for all who attend.
